What to Expect
Following the Qing Dynasty (221-206 BC) of China, Mt. Taishan has been a stunning location where emperors would worship Heaven and Earth. This full-day tour takes you to the top of the holy mountain for panoramic views among the swirling clouds.
You will met in the early morning for a transfer to the bottom of Mt. Tai, located north of Tai’an. One of the "Five Great Mountains" (Sacred Mountains of China), Mt. Tai is associated with sunrise, birth, and renewal.
Upon arrival, take the shuttle bus to Central Heaven Gate, where you will connect with the cable car to the summit. Enjoy a bird’s view of the surroundings as you ascend, with a spectacular scenery of sheer fault line rocks, the 7,000 stone steps leading up to South Heaven Gate, and numerous pagoda temples
A well-deserved lunch awaits at the top. Then, walk off some calories during your free time and feel the clouds around you as you gaze across the wooded slopes and jagged Cambrian rocks. Look for some of the 122 species of birds, and flora such as Taishan ginseng and multiflower knotweed. Return to the bottom of the mountain by cable car and transfer to your hotel in Tai’an.
