    Explore Seville’s Alcázar on a guided tour of one of the oldest functioning palaces in Europe. See why this palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, how it blends different architectural types, and why it became the setting for Lawrence of Arabia and Game of Thrones.

    Choose from either a small-group or private tour to suit the experience you're looking for.  Meet your guide in the Plaza del Triunfo, which offers great views of the Giralda. After using the priority entrance to enter the palace you will begin the tour at the Patio del León, the site of the original Moorish palace.

    Hear about how Moorish and Christian styles were blended after the Reconquista to create a palace that was emblematic of Mudéjar architecture. Visit examples of newer post-Reconquista architecture, such as the Casa de la Contratación and chapel, before heading to the Palacio del Don Rey Pedro, a perfect example of Mudéjar architecture. Discover the Patio de las Doncellas and grand Ambassadors’ Salón as featured in Game of Thrones. Both incorporate intricate carved detailing and colorful Islamic-style tiling.

    After this, take a look around the Gothic Palace with its royal tapestries and ornate tiling. Stroll around orange-tree-filled gardens at your own leisure after the tour. After your guide drops you in the gardens, take in the peacocks that live there, the smell of orange blossom, and the numerous tranquil water features.

    Try the labyrinth maze and enjoy the quietness of the gardens that are unbelievably located in the middle of the city.

    A very informative and interesting tour. Our guide who’s name escapes me unfortunately was excellent! His knowledge and presentation was very good, and he injected some good humour at appropriate points during the tour. I would definitely recommend the guided tour to get the most out of the Alcazar palace.

    Rey informative yet just the right length of time to not be overwhelming. Our guide Laura was wonderful and gave us lots of tips to enjoy the city. Would definitely suggest this tour for persons who are interested in learning about the history of the city and this place without being drowned in too much detail.

    The tour itself was excellent - out guide Ruben was an very enthusiastic and dynamic speaker who presented all the facts with a great sense of humour and charme. It was at quick pace so if the group had been slightly more elderly they may have struggled. The only thing to criticise is that the meeting point was a little tricky as it was a small plaza and many groups meeting - we could not find our guide first. I had whatsapp notification from "get your guide" on the Cathedral tour but nothing on this one so was slightly worried at the start. However, the tour more than made up for it. Superb and fit for a superb sight!
