Full description

Depart Seville in the morning and take a 2-hour drive by minivan to the start of the famous El Caminito del Rey walking trail. Upon arrival in the town of Ardales, enjoy a coffee or breakfast at your own expense to give you energy for your 7-kilometer hike. Step onto the renovated walkway of wooden boardwalks and make your way through the magnificent Los Gaitanes Gorge. Marvel at the rugged rock formations surrounding you and take in the spectacular views of the Guadalhorce River. Summon up the courage to cross the new suspension bridge 100 meters above the El Chorro Gorge. End close to the town of El Chorro after about 2 to 3 hours of walking, and catch the bus back to the entry point to enjoy lunch at a restaurant.

The tour is crazy and definitely organized very well. Assistance of the guides throughout the journey. Transportation from Seville with a comfortable and comfortable new generation minibus. The only flaw is that the guide (Rey) talked continuously both on the outward journey and especially on the return journey, when tired from the excursion you like a bit of silence to take a nap. Instead of keeping quiet and inviting everyone to do it in respect of those who want to rest, he chatted all the time first with a customer, then even with the driver !! Which is also dangerous.

There are 3 pickup points to take bus so we had to plan according for time. Bring water or buy it. The first stop to eat and use the restroom didn’t have toilet paper so maybe bring your own. Make sure to bring sunscreen and reapply because you sweat and it will come off. It’s a long trail obviously but we had older people on it so it wasn’t super challenging. You can stay with the guide and they give you receivers to listen to them on about facts, direction, etc. Some stairs are very tiny so fair warning you may have to walk side ways or very slow. And at the end you still have to walk back from the trail to where you return your helmet.

Very nice place, just enough organization. Unacceptable to have booked the excursion with a guide in Italian which in reality ... was not there. Without excuses, without explanations. Why don't you say if and where it is possible to have a meal? Do you point out that before the excursion, on the spot, a stop of 45 50 minutes is foreseen in a bar / inn? Why did we have to wait an hour after arriving to leave? I would have preferred a presentation table such as: total hours arrival total hours parking total hours visit etc etc
