Full description

Depart Seville and journey to the city of Granada to take a tour of the historic Alhambra, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural importance and architectural beauty. Benefit from the services of an official tour guide and expert interpreter of the heritage of the city and fortress, built for the Nasrid emirs who ruled Spain in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Marvel at the fortifications of the Alcazaba (citadel), built to protect the city's post-Roman districts, including the Moorish suburb of "El Albayzín." Admire the beauty of the Nasrid Palaces and Generalife, the summer pleasure gardens of the Emir. Next, drive to the center of Granada for lunch (own expense). Then, take a guided walk of the UNESCO-protected Albaicín district where the winding streets are reflective of its Medieval Moorish past.

Stroll past whitewashed houses and encounter age-old churches and flower-filled balconies. Stop to take in the spectacular panoramas over the Alhambra fortress perched on its hill.  Return to Seville at the end of your historical adventure, and get dropped off at your original starting point.

Apart from that you made us wake up at 4 in the morning when the pick me was Ale 7.30 because the email of the day before was not Chiara, you wrote at 5.30 in front of the hotel and then below in English two lines in which it was incorrectly specified 7.25 in a parking… The guide Petra very good, even if she only spoke English and Spanish and we asked for the French language !!! Comfortable bus. Very good guide in French to the Alhambra. I did not understand the meaning of doing the Albaizin in the morning, a mediocre place, with an hour free for lunch and then in the afternoon doing the Alhambra in three hours running like crazy with a stop of 5 minutes to drink without being able to see well everything and fully enjoy the wonderful place that is ...

Booking a tour was the best way to for me see the Alhambra, as day tickets can sell out. The tour logistics were smooth and professional. They communicated with me via WhatsApp, so I knew exactly where to be, what time, what to bring. People who did not use the app did not know, for example, that you have to have your actual physical passport, not a copy, to pass through security checkpoints. Petra pointed out points of interest from the bus in English and Spanish and also gave quiet time for sleepers. I recommend sitting on the side behind the driver on the way there for the best views. The bus has USB jacks for phone charging. Other than the lookout point I did not find Albaicín to be very interesting but I'm sure if I had gone on the optional walking tour I would feel differently. The service at the restaurant I went to behind the plaza was good but the food was just meh. Others on the tour that ate at the main restaurant on the plaza did not seem happy with their service.

The tour went smoothly. Our pick up time was changed from 5:30am to 7:20, a much more civilized time, which made me happy even before we started. Our guide, Petra was personable and spoke both English and Spanish clearly. We walked a total of 5 miles that day, and several people were not able to do this and stayed behind before we got to the Alhambra. What a shame, because the Alhambra is the biggest attraction in Spain. Please only book this tour if you can walk for 3 hours and climb a few stairs. The comfortable bus ride is 3 hours each way with a break half way so you can rest. The Alhambra is totally worth the long ride and walking. We had a guide, Pablo, for the Alhambra who was very knowledgeable and spoke in clear English. I would recommend this tour as long as walking is not a problem for you.
