Full description

Depart Seville and journey to the city of Granada to take a tour of the historic Alhambra, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its cultural importance and architectural beauty. Benefit from the services of an official tour guide and expert in the history of the fortress, built for the Nasrid emirs who ruled Spain in the 13th and 14th centuries.

Marvel at the fortifications of the Alcazaba (citadel), built to protect the city's districts, including the Moorish suburb of "El Albayzín". Admire the beauty of the Generalife, home to the summer pleasure gardens of the Emir. Next, drive to the center of Granada to enjoy free time for lunch. Then, take a guided walk in the UNESCO-protected Albaicín district where the winding streets are reflective of its Medieval Moorish past. Stroll past whitewashed houses and encounter age-old churches and flower-filled balconies. Stop to take in the spectacular panoramas of the Alhambra fortress perched on the neighboring hilltop. Return to Seville at the end of your historical adventure, and be dropped off at your original starting point.

The Alhambra is amazing. It's the high point of the trip and woth the travel all by itself. Luckily. The rest of the tour didn't live up to that high. The visit to the Albaycin was described as brief, but fairer would be 'so short it's practically non-existant'. Not helped because 90% of what time was actually spent there was taken up with a stop at a pretty poor partner restaurant. While the Alhambra itself was amazing, the organisation of the visit there was also very poor. Our group was split into two different tours because of numbers, but no input was allowed into which tour we were on. People travelling together were separated into separate tours and forbidden from changing. All credit to the guides themselves, however. In the face of horroible incompetence from the organising company they really tried hard to make everything work and make sure everyone had a good day, with very little support

We found the excursion very expensive. The value for money did not close us. We have done excursions in Madrid for less with lunch included. We expected more for what we paid. The guide Petra very kind and friendly with everyone. Despite being Anglo-Saxon, she was very warm towards many Spaniards that we have encountered on our trip to Andalusia.

The trip is a bit tiring, but the guide will bring you to make it fun by choosing music. The alhambra, unmissable, the restaurant where we eat, the porrona, very bad. Depies we went down to the center and we had a vieltas and to Seville It is worth going to Granada
