Serengeti National Park: Balloon Safari at Dawn

Serengeti National Park: Balloon Safari at Dawn

Wake up before the birds and head out from your camp in the Serengeti in the silence of the pre-dawn towards the balloon launch site. Then, listen as your pilot takes you through an important safety briefing as the sky begins to lighten and the crew inflates the balloon. Climb into the basket and prepare to lift up into the dawn skies. Marvel as the balloon climbs through the layers of air until you're high enough to see the curve of the horizon, painted gold and pink by the early sun. Your pilot has years of experience in harnessing the African wind as well as interpreting the wildlife below. After around 1 hour, the basket will return to the plains of the Serengeti. Each flight is a different journey dictated by the direction of the wind, so the landing point will be unknown - this is all part of the adventure. When you land, toast the flight with a glass of bubbly. Then, be whisked off in a safari car towards the special Serengeti breakfast spot. Enjoy a delicious breakfast served under the sweeping canopy of an acacia tree in the middle of the Serengeti plains. Savor tropical fruit, freshly-baked bread baked, and eggs cooked in the bush. The food will be made more delicious by the location and served on linen, bone china and Sheffield cutlery in an 'Out of Africa' style. Eat shoulder to shoulder with your fellow passengers, as you absorb the memories of the exceptional flight you’ve just been a part of.

8 Days Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via Lemosho

8 Days Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro via Lemosho

A relatively new route up to the mountain and extremely beautiful. It’s our favorite routes because it offers a great balance of high summit success rate, scenic views and low traffic. This may be the most beautiful route to take, with breathtaking views on all sides of the mountain and if you wanted a more private experience with fewer climbers This is one of the few routes where an armed ranger accompanies our groups, since there are still animals in the forest around the Lemosho Glades. But 8 days is preferable for better acclimatization and summit success.

Great organization! Everything was discussed in detail beforehand and all of our wishes were taken into account! Our driver Vitalis and our cook Damian deserve special mention, they more than just spoiled us every day! I can only warmly recommend these two people! Vitalis is a very experienced, calm and relaxed man - our safety was always his top priority and we felt comfortable at all times! Damian enchanted us with his cooking skills, even though he had hardly any utensils and no real kitchen to cook in, he spoiled us with his food every day! Anytime again! And if you have the choice, I can only highly recommend these two people! We would explore the world of animals with them again any time :) many thanks to everyone involved!

Overall, it was an incredible experience! Our driver was dedicated to spotting wildlife, allowing us to witness all of the Big 5 animals. They’d stop near the animals, giving us ample time for observation and photos. Camping was surprisingly comfortable with soft mats and warm sleeping bags. Despite chilly nights (around 15°C), we slept soundly. The chef amazed us with elaborate dishes, a delightful surprise as we expected simpler meals. We eagerly anticipated each flavorful meal. The only downside was the campsite showers’ cleanliness, so we didn’t shower during the tour. However, we expected this to some extent. We’d suggest bringing wet wipes for freshening up, just like we did.

Volker and me are very very happy to have our safari with Anuar and Freddy. We felt so good, with the animals that we have seen, with the landscape the wilderness in Serengeti, so beautiful. Freddy cooked the best diner and gave us the best tasting lunchboxes ever. Also the Ngorongoro Crater was one off the best experience that we had. Thank you for all the explaining, could you please say this to Anour and Freddy. Thank you so much, Asante Sana. You can do this words as an reference on you official homepage.

Samuel was the most fabulous guide. He was astonishingly knowledgeable, and gave us a plethora of interesting tips throughout the drive to Masai Mara, so we never got bored. Once in Masai Mara, he put in a huge amount of effort to show us a wide array of animals - many more than we expected to see in our two game drives! He again taught us so many wonderful things about animals and plants, and his love for the job really shows. Thank you Sammy for your kindness, passion and infinite wisdom!

We were picked up by Gordan and Christian who were our guide and chef. Gordan was good at finding the animals and securing the Big 5 for us, in addition he could answer all the questions we had. A very nice and skilled guide. Christian cooked world-class food and made sure to set up the tent and everything else practical. All in all, a very good trip that can be recommended.
