We had a great tour with Sookhee! We were in a smaller group, since we only did the half day tour, which was great, because we managed to be just ahead of the bigger groups. Therefore we reached each location before it got super crowded. On the day of our tour it started snowing, which was great for photos, but not so great for walking. Especially the small hike to the suspension bridge and the bridge itself were quite slippery. All in all we highly recommend the tour! (but in my honest opinion: avoid the Ginseng Latte 😅)

Full description

This tour will take you from Seoul to the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) that is a very unique, educational and contemporary historical place. DMZ expert tour will take you to the Korean DMZ that is located about an hour away from Seoul. You will see the Third Tunnel, the DMZ Exhibition Hall, the Dora Observatory, the Dorasan Station (closed temporally by military) and pass by the Unification Village on the way back to Seoul. It will be an educational experience to learn about the Korean War and its history. If you choose Suspension option, you will visit Gloster Hill Memorial Park which was battle field during the Korean War and Gamaksan Heroes Suspension Bridge which is one of longest suspension bridge in Korea and the nearest Mountain to the DMZ.

Know before you go

Currently, Dorasan station is closed temporarily by the military
Children must be accompanied by an adult. Babies can join for free; however, infant seats are not provided
This tour is not available for participants with a wheelchair or walker
It is not recommended that pregnant women or people with serious medical conditions join this tour
The duration can be delayed or shorter following the DMZ situation
Participants must follow the tour guide's instructions at all times
In case of heavy rain, snow, or security controls, the Suspension Bridge may be closed. In such cases, you will visit the Odusan Unification Observatory or The War Memorial of Korea instead
Due to heightened tensions between the North and South, there could be military controls on the DMZ. So, it is not uncommon for visitors to be asked to turn back suddenly due to military control orders during the tour at DMZ. In this case, we’ll proceed with the DMZ Special Tour without refund.
