Day trips

The tour was great. We were connected with a guide and a driver and our family had our own transportation and tour guide for the day. We spent about 3 hours in Ephesus and then the guide gave us the option of going for lunch at a local farm to table restaurant, which we did. We all loved our lunch. After lunch, we spent a little time at the ministry of carpet weaving hearing how they make carpets in turkey. They took us to the showroom and spent a significant amount of time, showing us carpets for purchase. Although we loved them, we had no intention of buying a carpet, and were cutting very close on our time to get back to our cruise ship. We ended up having to skip the Temple of Artemis due to this. In total, our tour ended up being over 7 hours long. We loved every second of it, but beware that some of the guides work with other booking companies and they have a variety of options of things for you to do/see, so you’re tour may run over if you don’t keep them on schedule
