Full description
See the sights of Seattle with a courteous and knowledgeable guide, and explore the city like a local. Hear interesting anecdotes and discover little known gems within the unique neighborhoods that make Seattle such a special place to live. Climb aboard a minivan and drive through the bustling downtown retail district into Pike Place Market. See where the world's first Starbucks coffeehouse opened, and keep a look out for flying fish! Admire the diverse architectural styles as you cruise from the award-winning, ultra-modern public library to the greatest concentration of early 20th-century Romanesque architecture in the USA. Get an up-close view of side-by-side mega-sports arenas practically across the street from the Port of Seattle. See the International District with its diverse pan-Asian community and artistic presence. Journey past King Street Station and Union Station, and continue to the waterfront before making your way past the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden and Glass, and the Experience Music Project Museum (also known as the "Museum of Pop Culture" or "MoPOP"). Go to the Kerry Park viewpoint atop Queen Anne Hill for a picture-postcard photo opportunity. On a clear day, you can see as far as Mount Rainier and experience a vista that will take your breath away. Take an interactive tour of the Ballard Locks and Fish Ladder, and learn about the miraculous lifecycle of Northwest Salmon. Watch as commercial boats navigate through the government locks, where the saltwater of Elliot Bay meets the freshwater of the Cascade Mountains, Lake Union and Washington. Drive through the artsy neighborhood of Fremont and see the famous Fremont Troll and the statue of Vladimir Lenin from the Cold War-era Soviet Union. Then, make your way back downtown for convenient drop-offs at all downtown attractions or your hotel if you prefer.

From start to finish this was an above and beyond experience. It included history, science and humanity and was comfortable and enjoyable. Our guide, DC, was very knowledgeable and communicated well with children and adults. I liked the small size of the group and how we were welcomed individually. I appreciated being dropped off at my next activity rather than the meeting place. The tour was well organized to be able to drive around, see many different places, hear interesting stories as well as science and history and fit it all into our time frame. I have already recommended this tour to another traveler I met here. I’m glad Inchise this one for my trip here.

Our driver, “Elvis”, was very entertaining and knowledgeable of the city. He ensured we had good views of everything and gave everyone just the right amount of time to get out and see the sights at the stopping points. He made an effort to personalize the trip for all the guests. I’d recommend this tour to others wanting to get a good overview of the city.

The tour was an excellent thing to do when you first arrive in a city to get an overall tour and then decide where to go back and spend more time. The driver/tour guide (Mark) was very informative and did many small things to make things good. He planned, communicated before and during the tour. He had umbrellas, made the needed bathroom stop.
