Full description

Explore the Nisqually Vista Trail in the Mount Rainier National Park on this guided tour with pickup from Downtown Seattle. Enjoy seasonal snacks and refreshments throughout the tour and stop for a locally sourced and/or organic lunch along the way.

Be picked up from the comfort of your accommodation or a centrally-located meeting point in Downtown Seattle. Sit back and relax in a Mercedes van on the way to the Mount Rainier National Park which is nestled between the Olympic Mountains and Cascades.

Admire views of the Rainier volcano which is encased in 35 square miles of snow and ice. Take in the atmosphere of this area that is surrounded by old growth forest and seasonally covered in a stunning carpet of wildflowers.

Look for birds, marmots, coyotes, elk, and black bears. Breathe in crisp air as you take in the sounds and scents of the forests and lakes. Follow your naturalist guide on a walk or snowshoe of the Nisqually Vista Trail.

Pause for a lunch of delicious local, seasonal produce and wine before strolling through a landscape of waterfalls, river valleys, and glaciers. End the day with a descent down to Longmire.

Keep your eyes peeled for deer in the meadow as they make their late afternoon trek to the river’s edge. Return by van to your accommodation in Seattle at the end of your tour.

This was an unforgettable experience. Marty was an amazing tour guide. All of the spots he took us to were carefully thought out to provide the best views. Marty was knowledgeable about the area, wildlife, and the local history. He was also respectful of everyone’s limits and made sure we were all safe and fine to continue hiking. Would highly recommend booking this service. The pickup and drop off was perfect and the lunch provided was delicious. There were also a ton of snacks and water available. If you have this opportunity - do it!

Our tour guide Mal, was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable and humorous. She brought us on a jaw dropping hike we would have never found on our own. And the picnic lunch was a pleasant surprise. Definitely recommend if coming from Seattle to avoid having to drive 2 hours each way on your own.

This tour made it very easy to take a day trip from Seattle to Mount Rainier. The guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The group was the right size...not too big. I thought the tour was well thought out and I loved everything we got to see. I'd say this tour is not for someone with a lot of mobility issues. There is definitely some hiking involved. I use the word hiking rather than walking deliberately. I only say this because we had a couple people on our tour who struggled a bit, and I felt bad that they were not able to participate in everything based on their own comfort level. So it's a great tour just be ready to do some hiking, and you'll very much enjoy it!
