Located about 75 miles southeast of Seattle, Mount Rainier National Park sits between the jagged Olympic Mountains and the volcanic peaks of the Cascade Range. The mountain is an active volcano, encased in 35 square miles of snow and ice, surrounded by old growth forest and covered in a stunning carpet of wildflowers. After the drive to the park by luxury Mercedes van, you will soon be entranced by the beauty of the glorious landscape, which soars to heights of over 14,000 feet. Remember to take your binoculars to spot birds and wildlife, such as marmots, coyotes, elk, and black bears. Breathe in that clear air as you take in the sounds and scents of the forests and lakes. Your naturalist guide will lead you on a walk or snowshoe of the Nisqually Vista Trail. If you fancy something a little more challenging, then don’t be afraid to ask. Groups are kept small to allow for maximum service and a truly tailored experience. There will be time to pause for a lunch of delicious local, seasonal produce and wine. Back on the walk, enjoy views of waterfalls, river valleys and even glaciers. You will end the day with a descent down the road to the park’s roots at Longmire. Along with sharing a common location, all of the boutique wineries you visit share the vision of creating world-class wine from the finest Washington vineyards. Mount Saint Helen's is a volcano that forever lives in the minds of Americans and the world. During the events that surrounded the 1980 eruption, lives changed in an instant, and the mountaintop's geography was forever altered. Today, you can experience this unique volcano and all the flora and fauna that makes this impressive reforestation project so dramatic. You will arrive with your guide to the blast-zone, just 5 miles from the crater at the Johnston Ridge Observatory. Here, you can snap some photos of the mountain while your naturalist tells the story of that fated day. You'll also learn interesting and unique facts about this and other volcanoes and their ever-changing faces. After being outside, you'll head into the center's state-of-the-art interpretive displays and theater, where you can discover the volcano in a whole new way. You will walk on the Eruption Trail and learn how the eruption shaped the surrounding landscape.

Embark on an adventurous day out on the Three Burroughs Hike in Mount Rainier National park. The trail starts from the Sunrise Visitor Center and quickly climbs to a ridge where on a clear day you'll see two more of Washington's volcanoes: Glacier Peak and Mount Baker.   Continue along the trail on past Frozen Lake and watch for the resident mountain goats in the meadows above and below you. The trail continues up across two snowfields to the Second Burroughs where Mount Rainier will appear in front of you in all its glory. Enjoy a pause for a provided lunch and take in the views. The trail is situated at 6,500 feet on the mountain and is not for the faint of heart. Choose to turn back at 4, 6 and 9 miles if need be, depending on your physical condition. The trail is not technical and no special climbing skills are required, however, altitude can affect people differently, so the trail is situated to accommodate your personal needs. The hike is limited to small group sizes to allow for these personal accommodations.

The adventure begins with pickup from your accommodation in Seattle between 8 and 9am then heads toward the Cascade Mountains. Arrive in Wallace Falls State Park, a fairy’s playground bursting with roaring waterfalls and luscious green valleys. Set out on the 6-mile round-trip hike towards the park’s 3 waterfalls, which are located along the main fork in the Wallace River. The trail follows a moderate route with rocks and roots, with safety rails to protect you from falls. As you explore, admire breathtaking views of the luscious surrounding scenery, and listen to your guide share information about the park’s native flora and fauna. At each waterfall, soak up the energetic atmosphere created by the Wallace River as it gushes through the mountains. Lunch is served at the hiker’s choice of either the lower, middle, or upper falls. Everyone can enjoy rock climbing and the objective in this experience is to help beginners learn the basics and pursue this fantastic sport. Take a short hike to a natural cliff face, discuss climbing safety and knots, and begin climbing and belaying. You will have plenty of opportunity to climb and practice belaying as you top-rope climb on at least 5-6 routes with unique rock types and features. Participants will learn the fundamental skills necessary to pass a belay test in an indoor climbing gym. Departing from Vancouver around 8am we will drive straight to The Museum of Flight. This is a 3.5 hours drive as the museum is located 20 more minutes south of Seattle downtown. At one point on our journey, we will stop for a coffee break to get an energy boost. Exploring the museum will take 4 hours or more. For this reason, this tour can not cover any sights in Seattle. This is simply a museum visit with 7hours in total driving time and 4 hours for the museum to explore Admission to the museum is included on this tour.
