    Hike up to Pico do Ferro and stand on top of the crater of one of the most active volcanos in the Azores archipelago. Enjoy the thrilling views as your guide explains the geological details and the history of eruptions spanning more than 100,000 years.

    Try the famous “Furnas Stew” for lunch (available as an add-on during checkout process) - the iconic local dish cooked for 6 hours in the volcanic soil. Before tucking into your meal you will also get the chance to see the final stages of the preparation process: the moment when the pot is removed from the volcanic soil in preparation for getting served. If selected, lunch includes starters, main course, drinks, dessert, and coffee.
