This bike tour was fabulous. The guides were personable and allowed for improvision, such has helping free a tangled donkey and observing a local national holiday celebration in a town center. They provided history. The route was very manageable with stunning vistas and varied stages through vineyards and quaint towns. Logistics were easy with as we were picked up from and returned to our lodging location. They also provided a video remembrance with pictures taken along the way included.

This was the hi-light of our visit to Santorini. As 60 ish travelers.and avid paved road bikers we were a bit apprehensive about mountain biking. Our guides Katarina and her co- leader did a fabulous job of setting us up on our electric bikes and keeping us safe throughout our tour. The well planner route showcased so many wonderful sights and vistas.. from beach level up to 197 meters…with speeds up to 30 kph.. The electric bikes assisted in traversing hills and curves we never could have done without our guides and these awesome bikes. Our guides took turns sitting with us a lunch stop with wine and at some of the stops, each sharing their knowledge and passion for the area and it’s beauty. Pictures and videos of us were taken throughout our during our wonderful day. We even got to chill in the beach and enjoy the airdropped pictures from our group. Then we all received the Relive video of our entire trip with the stops and pictures! Fabulous! Highly recommend!

Full description

Start your adventure at the black sandy beach of Perivolos. Before cycling through ancient paths and trails that used to connect the old traditional villages that see far fewer tourists than other parts of the island.  Visit the old traditional maze village of Emporeio, and take a short tour inside the village with a refreshing freshly squeezed orange juice from the small local café. Continue your ride to the famous cliff view of Caldera, where you will visit a small chapel built inside a volcanic ash cave.  Afterward, you will take a 10-minute bike ride to the picturesque village of Megalochori, where you will visit the beautiful balcony restaurant "Feggera." Here you will be able to taste a famous local white wine and some other local products. Later, you will cycle back to the black sandy beach of Perivolos, overpassing Vlichada Port. You can enjoy and relax on a private beach with refreshments. At the end of the visit, a luxury minivan will transfer you back to your hotel.

Amazing way to see some hidden, off the beaten path, sights. It was a bit athletic but my kids ages 17, 14 and 10 could keep up given that the bikes had electric assist. The guide was amazing and took us to several hidden places that felt mostly unknown. I will say that we should have brought snacks with us for the youngest. She didn’t care for the appetizers at the restaurant so she was pretty hungry. Also, take note the that this tour could run long. The van picked us up at 8:45; we actually started the bike ride around 10:00 and we were back at the starting point at 2:00pm. By the time the van dropped us off back at our pick up point, it was 2:45pm. It’s a great value for the money but be sure you don’t book something for the afternoon. Also, bring jackets, sunglasses and if you have padded bike shorts, bring them. After the tour, we were given a really cool video of our whole visit tour. This tour was the highlight of my families trip!
