Full description
Explore the highlights of the volcanic island of Santorini with a cruise to the three islands of the caldera as well as a popular sightseeing bus tour on the second day. Start your first day by setting sail for the lava islet of Nea Kameni. Once there, walk an ascending path to the crater of the still active volcano to enjoy incredible sights for 1.5 hours. Return to the boat to sail to the second lava islet, Palea Kameni. Jump off the boat and dive in the islet's hot springs, with green sulfur waters and warm therapeutic mud. The last stop of the day is the traditional island of Thirassia for 1.5 hours of free time. On your second day, take a bus tour around the entire island. Visit the archaeological site of Akrotiri. Walk in the Emborio village, swim at the Perissa beach, and taste local wine at an awarded winery. Marvel at the views from the Profitis Ilias mountain top. Experience the famous sunset hour in Oia Village.

Overall a very good tour, only complaint was the 2 hrs stop at Thirassia which was too long. There island is not that great where one can venture out after or before lunch. Would recommend to shorten the duration or even have a separate tour where this option is not there

The combined two-day tour was intense, challenging at times but very, very beautiful. Everything as described, even more. The wine tasting was a real tasting sitting comfortably at the table. The only small observation is to be made for the guide on the first day who was a Neapolitan boy who was very good at telling everything but if it had to be done in three languages (English, Spanish and Italian) the time available should have been used in equal parts instead after English and Spanish we had to listen to the explanation in Italian while walking with little attention on our part because we were walking in the sun, on slippery and noisy cobblestones so we couldn't hear much and we had to be careful not to fall. The guide on the second day was perfect in every way, even kind enough to give us some info in Italian even though the tour was only scheduled in English and Spanish.

The first day boat tour was great. The tour guide shared a lot of info about the eruption and the islands. The second day, was Ok. The guide had a lot of info, but it was hard to hear her as she spoke so softly we fell asleep! Would be great if we also actually went to a winery. We would also have liked a little guided tour of Oia: for the guide to show is and tell us a bit about the village and where to go for the picturesque photos.
