Great way to see unique sights and lovely beaches in Santo Domingo! Our group was all women and we were led by our guide Victor, who made the tour a funny and pleasant experience. Seeing the light house was a pretty unique experience since it's in the shape of a cross and has Christopher Columbus's remains. I'm glad the stop was part of the tour even if it was $~4 for the museum. The second stop was Tres Ojos, a truly unique experience that made the tour very worth it. Victor knew much about the beautiful caves and lakes, giving the tour in Spanish and perfect English. The third stop was a local beach with a gorgeous view and blowholes. The final stop at Boca Chica made for a very calm and enjoyable swim. The local food was also so delicious. Overall the tour was worth it. We got to explore and check out sights favored by locals. Victor was a great tour guide, who felt like a good friend to our group and everyone at each attraction.
I had such an amazing time on this tour! We had a packed itinerary, but it never felt rushed the pace was perfectly balanced, allowing us to truly enjoy each stop. Randolph was incredibly knowledgeable and fluent in both English and Spanish, which was super helpful. The Los Tres Ojos National Park, absolutely blew me away. I wasn’t expecting it to be so breathtaking! Randolph provided rich history and fascinating context about each of the underground lagoons. He even gave us a little quiz afterward to make sure we were paying attention (I totally failed jajaja but it made the experience even more fun and engaging!). Ending the day at not one, but two beaches was the perfect way to wrap things up. I especially appreciated that we visited a local beach. Boca Chica Beach was also beautiful. And the lunch was delicious
It was a great day. Relaxed, not rushed. Our guide, Victor, was excellent; confident, knowledgeable, friendly, he made it fun. We had 6 in our group, 2 families with 3 kids between 9 and 11yo, and Emerson’s seemed to have a good time. My son loved it. The trip itself was diverse; a huge lighthouse, underground caves and two separate beaches. One beach had waves, the other didn’t, the water was perfect temperature, i could have started in it all day. We got to have a day out without organising anything except the bus ticket. I recommend it.
