I had excellent and thoroughly erudite & informative scholar guide Jorge all to myself which made it my own private tour and in Spanish. Luckily I am fluent in Spanish as well, so I took it ALL in and was able to dialogue. I understand he is brushing up on his English so hopefully he will be as thorough. Wow! He made the old city's history and various quarters So fascinating and he delves into the geography, geology & horticulture of the region! I am so grateful for how much I learned as I walked and saw! The last part of the tour is the colorful section called Getsemaní and he brings one close to Plaza de Trinidad where an evening performance by a troupe of traditional Afro-Caribbean music and dance takes place. This was the Best Tour I've had so far in Cartagena!
