What people are saying about Santiago Metropolitan Cathedral

Overall rating

3.7 / 5

Santiago is perhaps not the most interesting city in the world, but this tour makes the best of it. We did the trip on the cable car, the bus stop number 3 is about 5 minutes walk away. If it's not too busy I would take the funicular down. It was too busy for us to wait so we went back on the cable car and picked the bus up again at stop number 3. We noticed that when we got to stop 4 that it was very close to the base of the funicular in a bustling area with several places to stop for refreshments. Altogether, I would say that this is a good way to see Santiago if time is limited.

On the first day I used the ticket, I followed the instructions and went to the starting point of the tour. I was given a number and told that I may not be able to get a seat on the next bus, as people may not get off. Luckily I did get a seat on the lower level, but the windows were covered with tinting; you are unable to take any pictures unless you are on the upper level. Other than this, I got off, see sites and got back on, with a view at the top!

This was a great way to experience Santiago, I would have never taken the subway by myself or visited downtown. The lunch was very good. I wish my guide’s English was better but I was able to understand most of what he said. Unfortunately he was not feeling well the day of our tour, which was a bit of a disappointment for both of us. Overall money well spent.

One bus failed to arrive leaving a very long wait, otherwise the staff were very helpful, the stops good and information great

Excellent attention and tour of the city of Santiago.
