A full day of spectacular views with several stops. Jaimie was a great tour guide/driver. The minibus was comfortable and clean. The only part I didn't like was having to be ready for hotel pickup at 0500 a.m. Be sure to turn off your night time automatic "do not disturb' function off on your phone. The guide tried to message me with Whatsapp at 5 a.m. to let us know he was parked at the corner, waiting for us, but I didn't get the message. Good thing I reached out to him.

It is a trip well worth the price. The pick up and drop off were efficient, the sights were magnificent and the driver Gonzales was courteous but not a tour guide. It started too early but if the unnecessary lunch stop of 90 minutes is taken out the timings can be made more comfortable. Our van was a bit old, smelling of fumes, cramped and unsuitable for a journey of almost 11 hours on winding and bumpy roads. A more spacious vehicle and shorter duration is recommended.

Diego brought us safely through the Maipo Valley with his Ford vehicle. After all, it was 250km that we drove safely with him. A few stops with necessary toilet breaks later, we were at the impressive lake. The asphalt road is long gone there. Then came the picnic and on the way back there was a chocolate house with ice cream to visit. You sit in the car a lot, but you also have plenty of time to enjoy everything. We also saw flying condors. Unfortunately, the glaciers are retreating more and more. There is no snow to be seen in summer (Feb./2023). The promotional image is a bit, well, irritating. The picnic is not at the lake! But OK. Value for money. Thanks again.
