Full description
After being collected from your Santiago accommodation, you will travel to a unique section of the country called Cajón del Maipo. It is at this place that activities of adventure and tourism can be enjoyed, where guests can make the most of the nature and the majestic mountain range of the Andes. On your way to San José de Maipo, you will stop for breakfast before resuming your trip. You will take a route to the "Alfalfal", an area where you can follow and admire the great Colorado River as well as all the beauty of the Cajón del Maipo. You will also pass through the towns of "Los Maitenes" and "El Alfalfal", two beautiful places that will help you understand and feel what it is like to live in the middle of the Andes. You will then enter through the path to the condors' viewpoint, which is an attractive trekking path that leads to an upper area of large rocky cliffs that are at the intersection of the canyon. At this place, and protected from human interaction, condors (Vultur Gryphus) and black eagles (Geranoaetus Melanoleucus) establish their nests. Because of this, it is fairly common to observe the flight of these large birds up close. The route, which takes place during the day and is suitable for the whole family, also crosses sectors of native vegetation typical of the area, such as peumos, litres, espinos, cactus, and maitenes.
