Gaze in awe at the skies above the Andes on a 5-hour private night tour to a private observatory. Learn about the stars and sky from an expert astronomer. Then, feast on appetizers of wine and cheese, while discussing your observations.
What to Expect
The Chilean sky is famous for its crystal clear vision of the infinite universe. Be taken out of this world and get a glance at the immense skies above you, without having to lift a toe off the ground!
You will visit a private observatory located in the Andes about a 40 minute drive from Santiago. It offers an impressive introduction into the world above and around. You will be warmly received by your hosts with a glass of wine.
Then, an experienced astronomer will lead you through a presentation to provide astounding facts about the universe, planets, and stars. Leave behind the theory for the chance to observe the night sky with your bare eyes. Moving on to technology, look through binoculars and larger telescopes, until you finally get to use the high-tech telescopes of the observatory.
Touch back to earth with a farewell serving of wine, cheese, and other refreshments. Chat about your experience and impressions before the return transfer to Santiago.
