Spend a day touring vineyards and tasting great Chilean wines on this full-day excursion from Santiago. Discover the organic, bio-dynamic Emiliana vineyard and then head to the Indomita vineyard, where you can enjoy lunch while taking in the scenic views.
What to Expect
The Casablanca Valley is home to a relatively young wine area, where innovative winemakers started to plant vines in the mid-1980s. Visit 2 of its vineyards and taste some fine local wines on a full-day tour from Santiago.
With warm temperatures during the day and cool coastal temperatures at night, this valley produces excellent crisp, cool-climate wines. The range includes magnificent Merlot, Syrah, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir, as well as Riesling, Viognier, Pinot Gris, and Gewurtztraminer.
The first vineyard on the tour is Emiliana, a pioneer in organic bio-dynamic wine making on the continent. Keep an eye out for the sheep, alpacas, and chickens that roam freely!
Taste 2 of their red and 2 of their white premium wines. Later, in the wine shop, you can also buy homemade honey, olive oil, and alpaca wool products.
Your second stop will be at the Indomita vineyard, located in a setting that’s half-way up the hills. Enjoy a wonderful à la carte lunch while taking in the breathtaking views (the cost of lunch is not included in the tour price). Afterwards, you’ll tour the facility and taste 2 red wines and 1 white wine.
