Great guide. Spoke English well and told us where to get the Tarte De Santiago from the nuns at the monastery, which has to be the best . Also best café con leche with omelette tapas for €1.20. This is the third Camino I’ve done and learnt more from the guide (Diego) than just reading up on the Santiago de Compostela sites

Diego was just a hoot to have as a guide hahahaha he has a very easy-going personality and makes sure everyone can hear him at all times, makes sure the group is always accounted for (we had kids and umm...some elders) so that's good hahaha I thought it would be a serious walking tour where the Old Town was explicitly discussed but well, what we had wasn't too bad. The first half was about the main plaza in front of the cathedral and of course, the history behind all that there is to see from there. We then went around the cathedral discussing how the city was more or less built around it and how it has grown to the size it is today. The last part of the tour was for inside the Cathedral so the museum and the main Cathedral itself. I'm not normally a fan of tour groups since a lot of information can get overlooked but at the same time, I have to give it credit for presenting the information in the way that they do- humor, debunking myths, and all. :)

La experiencia ha sido maravillosa. La visita ha superado nuestras expectativas. Éramos un grupo compuesto por 3 gallegos y 4 argentinos y puedo decir que todos la disfrutamos muchísimo y aprendimos un montón de cosas. Se hizo muy amena y todo lo que nos explicó Silvia (esta chica vale oro), nuestra guía, nos aportó mucho. Merece ( mucho ) la pena. Repetiremos seguro!
