The Cuba Libre Adventure starts at Bikini Beach Club: after welcoming you at the Diving center office, our meeting point (15 minutes before departing time), Cuba Libre stewardess in Cuba Libre uniform will accompany you to the beach and explain you the safety procedures before embarking. Transfer will be from the beach with a smaller tender directly to the main yacht anchored a few meters away in the bay. Once aboard our sailing boat, enjoy the breeze navigating along the west coast of Sal: the immense ocean on one side and the short stripe of desert land on the other, sliding by hotels and beaches. Relax and discover the secrets of the ocean hidden under the water: you may be lucky enough to spot some wildlife and take some great pictures of this unique memories. Drop anchor and admire the crystal-clear waters: use the available snorkeling equipment, jump from the boat or use the ladder to swim. (please be aware snorkeling is sometimes not possible, especially in winter time, due to the current conditions and visibility can change according to the weather; snorkeling will happen at the end of the sailing trip). Enjoy unlimited drinks (water, soft drinks, white and rosé wine, beer) and a light snack during the trip (freshly made tuna canapés). Finally head back to the beach where the trip started. Our staff speak English and Portuguese as standard but they all speak at last another language among Danish, Swedish, French, German, Italian. We will pick you up from your hotel to drive to the town of Santa Maria, the most touristy town in Cape Verde. There we will visit the emblematic Pontão, once used for the export of salt and today the port of arrival of artisanal boats with fresh fish, you will see the movement of fish sales, locals jumping off the bridge and admire the crystal clear turquoise water and the sandy beach of Santa Maria, one of the seven wonders of Cape Verde and one of the most beautiful beaches in Africa. Next we will visit the city's historical monuments, strolling through its streets and admiring the colourful street art on its walls, reflecting the culture and daily life of its inhabitants. We will walk among the streets where you will get to know the hottest bars and restaurants in town that worth visiting during your stay. During this tour, we will stop at a local restaurant where we will taste typical flavours of Cape Verde. After this break, we will see an exhibition of old photos and utensils and have a splendid view of the city. From here we will see authentic Cape Verdean arts and souvenirs, where your guide will teach you how to distinguish them. Finally, we will return to your hotel.

After being picked up at your accommodation, you will proceed to Pedra de Lume, the oldest settlement on Sal island, founded in 1804 by Manual António Martins. We will take a walk between the locality, there you can learn about its history, attractions, sights and the local lifestyle. Then, you will visit Salinas of Pedra Lume, the main tourist attraction in the region, the only saline in the world located inside the caldera of a volcano. A protected landscape that has a unique view with the salt-covered soil whose colors vary from turquoise to pinkish white. It was elevated to National Natural, Historical and Cultural Heritage and appears on the indicative list of Cape Verde at UNESCO. Then, proceed to Amílcar Cabral International Airport (Driving route), where you will learn the stories of the airline industry in Cape Verde. Then, you will travel to Salinas of Santa Maria, a protected landscape. Following Salinas, you will explore the Santa Maria city, and learn about the history of the city. We will walk through the main streets of Santa Maria, discover the historical places, the local handicrafts and how to identify them. At the end of the tour, you will visit the Water Route and experience the local flavors. Get to know how the lack of this essential good was overcome on Sal island. very attentive staff and very nice trip in quite safe conditions. maybe a little bit less of personal on hands sailing than would be preferred and more of an enjoying sailing along the coast, that being said I believe that's what most of the people would prefer as well so I don't feel it should have any deduction on star's. after all it's no stress and enjoyment vacation:)

Sean is a very friendly and pleasant guide who gave us a fantastic city trip. We got to know the history and culture and it was very special. We have booked a second trip with Reis Transporte, Sal experiences and are looking forward to it!

Special trip to get to know the city and near surrounding. Would do that again. Driving the small car is fun. Audio guide is very informative. Service from start to giving back the car is great, very friendly and helping people.

Super sailing trip, everything was really clean and neat, the staff were really nice and helpful. And no expense was spared on serving drinks😜 And we were lucky enough to see lots of dolphins. Highly recommended!
