We will be here one hour and then we will stop at a buffet with authentic Oaxacan Food. At Teotitlán del Valle you will witness the ability and passion of local craftsmen. Here, time will seem to have stopped while the looms take life and the colors dance through the threads, creating authentic works of art using ancestral techniques. To finish this unforgettable journey, we will go to an authentic mezcal distillery. Its aromas and unique flavors will transport you to Oaxaca's own essence. In the morning we will pick up our travelers, who will admire the largest tree in all of Mexico, with more than 2,000 years old, the sabino is the tree with the largest trunk diameter in the world! Just impressive!! After, we will enjoy a pleasant trip to Mitla, the magical town that has it all. The archaeological site is just incredible. We will continue with Teotitlán del Valle, also known as the "Land of the Gods" Here you will learn about the culture and traditional beauty, as you will observe how the world-famous sheep wool rugs are made, dyed with natural colors obtained from plants and animals, carried out through a prehispanic process. Finally, will be time to Hierve el Agua, the petrified waterfalls. You can take photos, swim, or simply admire them and learn about their formation. We will finish with the best way, learning and trying mezcal an important drink for Mexicans. We will have time to stop to eat at a buffet restaurant where you will find typical dishes of the region. Next, visit a place full of colors with the Zapotec weavers indigenous people at Teotitlán del Valle.  Famous for making their rugs, bags and sheep wool sheep, which are dyed with ancestral techniques with natural pigments, these weavers highlight the use of the great cochineal. End the tour with the typical drink of this beautiful state; the last stop will be in a Mezcal palenque.  Of Oaxacan origin, Mezcal is internationally recognized for its body, color and smell. It is worth mentioning that there are several presentations and flavors of mezcal, enjoy some of the different flavors that are offered, from the aged mezcal to its diverse and delicious mezcal creams.

The tour will begin by visiting the majestic Tule Tree, an ahuehuete that is more than 2000 years old. From Tuesday to Sunday don´t miss Mitla, a town and municipal seat in the state of Oaxaca, famous for being the site of the archaeological ruins of Mitla. Continue to Hierve el agua, it is in the heart of a steep mountain range that during the dry season is characterized by its extreme aridity. Natural beauty is not the only attraction of this site. Later we will visit Teotitlán del Valle, a community where residents are dedicated to making handicrafts on a pedal loom, with wool rugs standing out. An artisan will demonstrate how they obtain the different colors with natural products such as cochineal, indigo, etc. On the route, a stop of 1 hour will be made in a mezcal distillery to learn about the process of its elaboration in an artisanal way and we will have a tasting of this famous Oaxacan drink

Hierve el Agua is a stunning natural phenomenon located in the mountains outside Oaxaca’s Central Valleys. A petrified waterfall with spectacular views across the Sierra, the uniqueness of this place will blow you away. Imagine pools of water that are formed by natural springs from within the mountain, located on a natural shelf overlooking the valley below... Hierve el Agua is almost like a landscape from another planet. With our early morning visit, a pleasant hike around the waterfall allows you to get multiple perspectives and great photos of this natural wonder, before anyone else arrives… It also means you will be that little bit warmed up should you wish to take a swim in the waters, considered a place of healing to the Mixtecs who inhabit the mountain ranges beyond. The area is full of naturally occurring agaves and cacti, adding a real sense of the Mexican frontier to the atmosphere. After coming back down the mountain we head for Yagul archaeological site. A rare jewel that sees very little visitors, Yagul is full of wild cactus and agave plants growing among and on the Zapotec ruins. The place has a fascinating history and is incredibly atmospheric, and has featured in many books and films throughout Mexican history. Nearby is Teotitlan del Valle, a town famous for its tradition of Zapotec weavers, whose designs and styles have become world famous. We will visit a household who acquire their wool only from their own livestock and give us a full tour of their production methods from start to finish. This is a wonderfully refreshing and interactive experience where we gain an understanding of the work and symbolism behind these textiles, with a family who have been weaving for generations. Our lunch is also prepared by the family and we eat inside their home, a real treat of traditional Oaxacan cuisine. On the road home to Oaxaca, we will stop by Santa Maria del Tule, location of one of the largest and oldest trees in the world. A Moctezuma Cypress, considered to have the widest trunk in the world, this tree is a whole ecosystem in itself whose size is so impressive it dwarfs the church next door. At around 1500 years old, it is a wonder of nature and feels incredible just to be in its presence. 1.-We begin our visit in Santa María del Tule where the widest tree in the world is more than 2000 years old. 2.- Immediately along a 1-hour path we will arrive at Hierve el agua, waterfalls petrified by their minerals (room temperature water)‍♀️ 3.- To learn a little more about our culture, we enter the archaeological zone of Mitla, considered the city of the dead. 4.- We will make a stop for food at a Buffet restaurant 5.- Later we will see how the artisans of Teotitlan de Valle carry out great works with their wool-based pedal loom and the production of shell candles, all pigmented with natural products. 6.-To culminate with a great tasting of different varieties of Mezcal.
