This is a site of historical importance as it was here that the Carnation Revolution began in 1974, putting an end to nearly 5 decades of dictatorship. A little further on, arrive at the Santa Justa elevator, an imposing monument built in the Gothic Revival style, that provides one of the best viewpoints in the city. See a number of attractions in Baixa, in the heart of the city. After a short break, take a ride on the tram, going up from the castle to the Portas do Sol. At the Portas do Sol, see the Monastery of São Vicente de Fora, the National Pantheon, and the Alfama district that spans several narrow streets to the River Tagus. Explore Alfama, one of the oldest and most traditional neighborhoods of Lisbon, known for its fado houses, and the popular festivals of saints, particularly St. Anthony. End the tour at Lisbon Cathedral, built in 1150, 3 years after the city was taken back from the Moors. Over time it has been subject to various architectural changes, becoming a mixture of different styles.

The Lisbon Guided E-Bike Tour was absolutely fantastic and deserves every one of its five stars! The tour had a perfect pace, striking a great balance between relaxed cruising and efficiently covering a lot of ground. The e-bikes made it easy to explore Lisbon’s charming streets and even tackle some of the city’s famous hills without breaking a sweat. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and brought Portugal’s fascinating history, especially its role in world exploration, to life. We visited so many iconic landmarks, from Lisbon to the historic monuments in Belém, and I felt like I got to experience the best of the area in just a few hours. It’s a great way to see and learn a lot while enjoying the outdoors. Whether you’re a history buff, a casual tourist, or someone who just loves a scenic ride, this tour is a must-do. Highly recommend!

Toby was extremely well versed in the history of Portugal and tied it on so well to the various stops on the tour. Thoroughly enjoyed his presentation - very engaging speaker. He was attentive to the group - asking if any questions, breaks needed, etc. We appreciated his suggestions for other things to see and do. Would highly recommend this tour and hope you are fortunate enough to have Toby as your guide. Great job, Toby!
