Cartagena: Day Trip To San Bernardo Island Up To 8 People

We will depart at 7 AM from the Santa Cruz Pier, located in the Manga neighborhood, on a scenic journey to the first stop: Santa Cruz del Islote. This artificial island in the San Bernardo Archipelago is known for its high population density, making it one of the most inhabited islands in the world. Despite its small size, Santa Cruz del Islote holds a fascinating cultural history, which our guides will share as you explore its narrow, colorful streets and observe the simple yet vibrant lifestyle of the locals. You'll have the chance to take in panoramic views of nearby undeveloped islands such as Isla Palma, Isla Múcura, and Tintipán, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and an atmosphere of complete tranquility. As we continue, you'll have the unique opportunity to support local islanders who travel between the islands in small canoes, offering local cocktails and handcrafted goods to make your visit even more memorable. Although some islands have been privatized to protect the national forest, we’ll still make a special stop at the "House in the Water" near Tintipán, a remarkable and iconic structure—often regarded as the only populated hostel in the middle of the ocean. Our crew will also recommend some of the best spots to enjoy a delicious Caribbean lunch, featuring fresh, local cuisine and unforgettable landscapes. On our return to Cartagena, we’ll visit additional islands, including Ceycen Island, Panda Island, and Mangles Island, where you can swim in the clear waters, snorkel, and relax before we head back to the city.
