We had a great morning with Tomoko and learned a lot about the country and its people. She speaks excellent English and was accommodating to all of our requests. I wish we had had time to go on an e-bike tour with her! Even in a small place like Takayama, it's worth going with a guide. You learn so much more about the place and its residents and also go off the beaten track. It's very exciting and Tomoko was the perfect guide. Thank you!

Fantastic day, excellent and knowledgeable guide. We had a private tour with a skilled driver, spotless van for transport and an amazing guide! We enjoyed the tour so much! The guide took the time to cater the tour for our 10 year old daughter to learn and enjoy the full day tour of Takayama and Shirakawa-go. An amazing day all around!

Mitsu is the best of the best. She is more than a tourist guide, the true embassador of Takayama. She knows every corner and hidden gems of the city, with all the gratitude and kindness she will explain to you every detail. 100% recommended if you want to visit the town with the eyes of a local

Lily is a fabulous guide. We spent 4 fantastic hours with her walking around Takayama and learning about Japan historical moments. Definitely worth the visit with a guide. She also took care of booking lunch, we had fantastic hida beef serving in a local restaurant. Absolutely recommended.

Mitsu our guide is a local from Takayama. She was super friendly, eager to show everything to us and made sure that we were happy at all times. We certainly saw places that we wouldn’t have seen without her. I can only recommend- get on your walking shoes and take a tour with her!
