I happened to be the only person on the tour that day. My guide was very good and handled the rather treacherous Sani Pass with great skill. The day is filled with beautiful landscapes that change constantly with the clouds atop the Drakensberg. My guide was also excellent at spotting some of the wildlife on the drive. Lesotho is very unique as it’s at a very high altitude. It reminded me of both Iceland and Mongolia. The stop at Africa’s Highest Pub was a pleasant stop. Lunch is included and one can also pay for a drink from the bar. I’d recommend staying in Underberg instead of Durban so that you don’t have to endure a 3-hour drive before and after the trip.
The scenery was stunning. Fascinating insight into the people of Lesotho. Would Have liked to have seen more of Lesotho but appreciate the distances are great. Duma our guide was great and spotted animals and flora along the way including a snake ! Great trip
