1. From Mendoza: San Rafael Sightseeing and Atuel Canyon Tour

The tour departs Mendoza in the early morning and heads 260 km south, driving for approximately 4 hours to the modern city of San Rafael. Located in the middle of an oasis, San Rafael is a popular provider of energy, wine, and adventure tourism. With your guide, visit some of the city’s most important sites including Villa 25 de Mayo, a so-called living museum where the city was founded. After your tour of the city, visit the nearby Valle Grande Dam to learn about the imposing Atuel Canyon which starts 70 km away from San Rafael city and runs into the dam. The canyon is a geological wonder and was formed millions of years ago by rough winds and the waters of the Atuel River. Spend the rest of the day at the Valle Grande Dam riverside base where you can enjoy lunch at the onsite restaurant and admire breathtaking views of the canyon. The base also offers an array of optional added-extra water activities such as a catamaran ride along the river.

2. Amazon River: 3 Day Tour

Day 1 On the first day of the tour, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Iquitos at 9:30 am and take you to Bellavista port, where we'll board a boat to begin our adventure on the Amazon River. This first experience of sailing down the world's largest river will bring us to our accommodation, where we'll be welcomed with a delicious lunch. You'll then have free time to relax ready for the afternoon ahead. After meeting back up, we'll embark on a walk into the rainforest to visit a local indigenous community. We'll get to chat to the people who live there and learn all about their culture and lifestyle in the jungle, before heading back to the lodge for dinner. Day 2 Our day will begin with a hearty breakfast, and we'll then board a boat and cruise along the Amazon to Neyser Island, where we'll visit an animal sanctuary. There we'll learn about the wildlife native to the Amazon and see anacondas and other incredible creatures such as monkeys, sloths and toucans. On the way back to the lodge, keep your eyes peeled for the pink dolphins that inhabit the Amazon River - hopefully we'll see them from the boat! You'll also have the opportunity to bathe in the mud beside the river before we enjoy lunch and relax at the lodge. After eating, we'll head to the village of San Rafael, where we'll learn all about how local plants are used for medicinal purposes and try our hand at extracting their juice. Finally, we'll return to the lodge for dinner and to hear some of the mythical tales and legends of the Amazon. Day 3 On the last day of your three day tour, you'll have the option to take part in a sunrise hike through the jungle. If you choose to do this highly recommended experience, the day will begin at 4:30 am - but the early start will be well worth as you watch day break over the Amazon. After breakfast, we'll gather the whole group and take one last boat trip on the Amazon River to visit Sinchicuy, an indigenous community where we'll get to learn all about the locals' handicraft making traditions and learn how they fish with handmade rods. We'll then head back to the lodge for lunch, before making the journey back to Iquitos, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel at around 4 pm after three unforgettable days.

The tour was amazing with wonderful views of the Atuel canyon that we drove through. San Rafael is a nice city though we liked more the canyon and the catamaran cruise. From other participants we heard that rafting was also very enjoyable. We regret a bit not being able to walk through the dam on the Valle Grande - in the case of catamaran cruise we’ve at least went through it by bus. All in all, it was impressive and worth doing. For us there were far too many stops for sitting and eating in different places. Of course we appreciate the fact that people need to earn their living but it was at least 1-2 stops too much. Technical breaks for toilet would be sufficient without staying longer. We also lacked a bit of structure - there should be clear into how much time we have in each place instead of waiting for those who seemed to have all the time in the world.

The tour to San Rafael couldn't have been better! The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful and with Mika we had a super friendly, lovable, funny and competent tour guide. She told us a lot and responded to everyone very individually, even though around 20 people took part. She was able to remember all of our names within a short period of time and repeatedly sought personal conversation. I don't think I've ever had a nice tour guide. I can only recommend the tour to anyone who wants to mix beautiful landscapes with adventure!

The place is very beautiful and full of curiosities, but it is also very far away, while people did their water rides we were thrown into a small place without much structure, without internet and without attractions, it could have left us in the city of San Rafael

It was a really fun Private tour. They have a beautiful family cocoa farm. The property is amazing!!! The tour guide was amazing and accomodating. They even stopped at Guatape and El Peñol. Highly recommend if you’re traveling to Medellin Colombia.

Excellent excursion. The guide Yanina and the driver Javier...both excellent!!! amazing places. All very well
