Full description
The tour starts by visiting the Pukara Quitor, which was an important defensive fortress of the Atacameño people. It is 3 kilometers from San Pedro de Atacama and covers an area of 2.5 hectares. It is in a strategic location, defended by a ravine barrier on the river and a wall at the most accessible part of the valley. It is an impressive construction that climbs a steep hill. The homes and walls are built from stones and the mortar of the earth.

Cross one of the most distant Ayllus and arrive at the archaeological village of Tulor. With a seniority approximately 3000 years old it has been miraculously preserved by the sand. It is composed of circulars rooms that are joined by corridors and patio. Learn from your expert guide about the Atacameño people and their culture.
