Experience

Highlights
  • Observe the sky in the Atacama Desert, one of the clearest in the world
  • Learn about the stars, celestial bodies, and the universe
  • Admire full and bright constellations
  • Use the telescope with the help of your guide
Full description
Enjoy two different views of the night sky during your tour. The first will be the Western vision, which studies the universe, the brightness of the stars, and their planets. You can observe, with a telescope, objects in the solar system, deep space, and constellations. Learn about the cosmos and its formation.  Then, go on an ethnic astronomical journey to understand how the ancient inhabitants of the Andes interpreted the universe, the milky way, and the night sky. Many centuries before the arrival of the Spaniards, in the indigenous settlements of America, many wise observers of the universe interpreted the objects of the night sky. In all the black spaces, they observed figures that gave them information about their daily life including animals, water, rivers, schedules, and life after death.

Incredible sky beauty. Felipe's explanations were very good. Being able to look through a telescope is definitely a plus compared to the other tours. We have seen the surface of the moon, Saturn, Mars, the difference between star and planet. Felipe taught us a lot of things. Really perfect. The only downside to this tour was the presence of disrespectful participants who didn't listen and talk all the time, but that's clearly not the fault of this tour.

Stargazing in Chile is an absolute must (as both locals and tourists can promise you)! San Pedro stands out in particular as it is one of the best places in Chile for this activity. The tour itself was very informative and the guide was able to answer all of our questions in detail! We definitely enjoyed the time!

SIMPLY AMAZING! Had an absolutely amazing time on this tour, cannot recommend it enough. Our guide, Felipe, was excellent: very accommodating and knowledgeable, and he ensures that the tours are always small groups (this time it was only me and my friend and him) so we got a lot of information and time on the telescopes. The night sky with the naked eye is outstanding, and the telescope Felipe provides is phenomenal. One of the best experiences in my life, would give more than 5 stars if I could
