We’ll walk through the historical center of our beautiful city, we’ll talk about the foundation, the first landmarks, we might find a god from another culture hidden in plain sight, landmarks covered of history and legend, one of the 4 main theaters in the country, and unique traits of some of our most iconic buildings. Once there, we will embark on a picturesque Panga, a wooden boat typical of the region, to begin our journey down the Tampaón River. During approximately 4 kilometers of navigation, we will witness the scenic beauty of the surroundings as we head towards the imposing Tamul Waterfall, the highest in the state of San Luis Potosi. Along the way, we will make a refreshing stop at La Cueva de Agua Cenote, adding an extra dose of adventure to our expedition. We leave at 9:00 am from Ciudad Valles, already had breakfast, heading to the charming town of Xilitla, where the fascinating open-air Surrealist Museum awaits us. Built in 1962 by the eccentric millionaire Edward James, this museum is a true Garden of Eden lost in the jungle. Before continuing our tour, we will delight our palate with an exquisite meal typical of the Huasteca Potosina. In the afternoon, we will witness a wonderful spectacle: hundreds of birds, including swifts and parrots, will welcome us in one of the deepest abysses in Mexico, the Sótano de las Huahuas.
