What people are saying about San Jose

Great day , good variety of interesting places .

I was so lucky to have Gladys as my guide , In fact could hardly believe my luck . I was the only person booked on the tour , I’m an avid Birder on the last days of a mammoth Birding trip , Gladys is a biology student who’s also very interested in birds , naturally where ever you go there are birds , starting at our meeting point the National Theatre , after explaining the history of the theatre and the story behind the marble sculptures Gladys identifies the Parrakeets in The trees outside . And so it went on , such an informative tour , into a local bus up into the hills for a traditional Costa Rican lunch and a visit to the happy mask maker . A great day . Highly recommend this tour .

This is an easy walk for all ages. The weather was complicated at first with heavy downpour, but it was all well managed by our guide and we knew this time of the year it's rainy in San Jose. We were able to see many interesting plants (from which we even tasted some!), some birds and fortunately we did find sloths! The guides will talk about culture, art and mostly nature. This is an awesome experience to start your journey through Costa Rica.

I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My guide, Charly the botanist was very knowledgeable and seemed to enjoy answering all questions. He carried a small telescope for good viewing which makes a huge difference when looking at something high in a tree. We saw three sloths, many types of birds, leaf cutter ants, a beautiful large spider and her tiny mate and lots of plants. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone.

I ended missing the original schedule due to a flu, but Carlos the biologist, was able to let me in on a tour on Sunday. I was a bit down since I wanted to check the Butterfly Farm a lot, which is closed on Sundays. None the less the experience was great, we focus more on birds, sloths and the arquitecture of the Campus. We ended up seing at least 15 tropical bird species and 3 sloths!!
