The tour started in San Jose. Unfortunately we only did part of the tour as we climbed onto it (La Fortuna) on the way. We did the lunch, the zip line tour and the hot springs. Our group consisted of a total of 6 people + guide. We liked the zip line tour the best, at the end of the tour you could climb down a 10m gorge, that was really cool. Then we were taken to the thermal springs, which were located in a hotel. The springs were really nice, but I was hoping for natural springs, hence only 4 stars. At 5 p.m. the rest of the group headed back to San José. Since we are staying in La Fortuna, we enjoyed the thermal springs a little longer. Overall, the tour is definitely recommended. Only 4 stars out of 5 as I assumed we would be visiting natural hot springs (rather than man-made).

The all-inclusive tour was excellent with our guide, Oscar, who is very knowledgeable about Costa Rica and managed time well. After picking up guests at hotels, we started with a short coffee plantation tour, then on to visit waterfalls, and to an iguana sanctuary. Before heading to lunch, we also made a quick stop to see sloths and to take photos. Food at lunch was good, then we headed to the Zip line, which was a fantastic experience with the professional staff at Go Adventure Arenal Park. After, we relaxed at a resort near the Arenal Volcano. The volcano fortunately was visible, with fairly clear skies. We then made a quick stop to a large souvenir shop then onto a good dinner, before getting dropped back to our hotels. It was a fantastic day - I was picked up at about 6:30 am from my hotel and returned about 9 pm.

It's a very long day, with a lot of travel. The Arenal Volcano no longer erupts, and is frequently shrouded in cloud. We were unfortunate to be unable to see the summit. It therefore felt as though it was an extremely long drive, to do things that could be done closer to San José.
