Tigre Delta Premium Small-Group Tour from Buenos Aires

1. Tigre Delta Premium Small-Group Tour from Buenos Aires

On this fun-filled half-day tour of Tigre and Buenos Aires, embark on an adventure that offers the perfect balance between nature and history. Take in the views on a boat ride, shop for local products at a market, and head to Victorica Avenue, the coastal walk. After hotel pickup, hop on a cruise on the widest river in the world while getting spectacular views of the Buenos Aires skyline from the waters of the Río de la Plata (La Plata River). After one hour on the river, arrive at the Parana River’s Delta, a place that truly feels like a fantasy land. Once in the delta, the boat ride continues through a series of narrow channels and islands, a popular weekend getaway for residents of Buenos Aires and an everyday home to thousands of islanders. Experience the majestic scenery that's very different from anything you have seen before while learning all about the locals who live along the peaceful channels with boats as their only means of transportation. At lunchtime, the boat will drop you off at Tigre, a major city within the Buenos Aires suburbs. Enjoy an authentic snack including empanadas (local pasties) and drinks at a historical venue that belongs to the Italian Rowing Club of Tigre City. For the rest of the tour, hop on board a vehicle and drive through the northern suburbs of Buenos Aires to get an overview of what life is like in the outskirts of Argentina’s capital city, home to about 25% of the total population of the country. Along the ride, visit several sites, including the fruit market, a type of bazaar where locals shop for home goods and where you can find some authentic souvenirs. Head to Victorica Avenue the coastal walk that borders the Luján River to reach the elegant gardens that surround the headquarters of the Tigre Deliberative Council and the Tigre Art Museum. On the side of the road, there are bars, restaurants, grills and ice cream parlors that give shape to a gastronomic center where calm reigns, an atmosphere that replicates the serenity transmitted by the open view of the river just steps from Tigre’s downtown. Once the trip is over, get driven back to Buenos Aires. You can choose to be dropped off somewhere on the way to keep exploring the city or you can be taken back to your hotel.

What people are saying about San Isidro

Our guide Katerina was excellent. During our boat excursion she would come around to explain what we were seeing along the shore. The boat ride was very fun as we got to explore the Delta. She gave us information about Tigre and was fun at lunch as we watched the World Cup. She did a great job explaining our stops along the way as we traveled by land back to the city.

Jessica our tour guide was exceptional. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed this excursion.
