Excellent tour, a must see, unique experience in the cave where you can see incredible artefacts and human remains. the guide was extremely knowledgeable, respectful of the place and ensured we all took care of this special place. lunch was incredible too FYI you need to be ok going across multiple rivers, in the water underground, climbing and walking over rocks. Our 6 & 8 years old children and us loved it !
It was a very wet and exciting experience. 800 m deep into a cave, mostly swimming or wading through various depths of the river that runs through the cave, crouching through narrow passages and climbing up into the dry chamber. The climax of the trip: a natural cathedral of stunning limestone formations, stalactites, and strewn all around artefacts from ancient Mayans, as if they had left them there just recently. Also there’s a little hike to and from the entrance of the cave through the beautiful jungle. Everything was quite well organised. Friendly tour guides divide the visitors up in groups of around 8. We really enjoyed the ATM experience!
