Visited on a Saturday with 3 children (ages 5, 12, &13) and we all had an absolute blast. There is so much to see and do. Even going on a Saturday with all of the people, there was not one moment where we weren't interacting with an exibit. We were there for 3 HOURS and only got through HALF of the exibits. The time went by so fast, you can easily spend 6 plus hours there. We are definitely planning to visit again in the near future.

For us, as empty-nesters, our experience was probably different than if we had taken our young granddaughter. Although we enjoyed ourselves, sometimes families did not control their children, and they would run over and interrupt what we were tinkering with or practically run us over trying to get to an item. This is a great museum for families. It is almost 100% hands-on with each display, and it appeals to the imagination as well as scientific interests. I'd highly recommend.
