  • Alcatraz tickets will be given upon check-in at Pier 33 (after the City Tour) on the date of your tour departure. You will need to present a photo ID in order to get your Alcatraz ticket.
  • The Cellhouse audio tour is available in Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Mandarin, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish
  • The transportation portion of the tour finishes once you're dropped off at Pier 33 for your Alcaraz tour. You will need to make your own way back after that
  • Combo tours require 5 days advance reservations
  • Photo stop opportunities at: Golden Gate Bridge, Palace of Fine Arts, Twin Peaks and Land’s End Ocean Beach (Sutro Baths)

Great service by the tram transportation operators going up the hills. They were very kind and helpful to my mother (who is 76 and uses a walker). They were humourous too. There was a lovely man who gave us many facts when we finished the tour. He asked us where we were from (Brampton, Ontario, Canada) and he had knowledge about our home city!! We were impressed 👍👍

Enjoyed the bus tour very much, guide was very knowledgeable. Nice route around the city and saw some areas we might not otherwise have seen. However we felt it was a shame we only got 10 minutes at each photostop - of which there were 4, not 5 as advertised when we booked. Additionally the bus tour is separate from the Alcatraz tour - we were on a 9am departure bus which took us back to Pier 33 arriving at 12noon and our ferry was at 2.15pm. We only learned this on the day and feel this should have been mentioned at time of booking. We went and got lunch in the end at Pier39 and walked back afterwards. Alcatraz itself - very good tour, definitely get the audio guide!

We loved it all! Our guide Joseph and driver Lee were both amazing, navigating the city around the parade with closed streets and being an encyclopedia of knowledge while keeping it Interesting with stories. Our three kids 13, 10, and 7 loved it too! Alcatraz was also incredible!
