Very easy to buy tickets online. However, we walked by another pier further north and googled them to buy tickets for a boat ride. The line at ticket booth was long. After googling and going ahead and buying tickets, I thought I was buying tickets for the boat tour I was standing by. When I went to go fetch my tickets for the tour through an app, which they recommended. I became very confused. It wasn’t the boat company I was intentionally buying tickets for. It was about 0.7 miles south on the boardwalk. It was hard to find. No signage really. Didn’t know where to line up. No employees. Kind of in the dark and was just guessing. Fortunately we were standing in the right spot. Buying the tickets online is recommended and easiest. Able to pick the time you want. The boat was a little old and rusty. But was a good tour altogether. Get in line 25-30 min early to make sure you get an upper deck seat. You don’t want to be stuck sitting inside looking out murky old windows.

Schöne Bootfahrt durch die Bay von San Francisco. Zuerst fährt man zur Golden Gate Bridge - da wird es sehr windig. Unbedingt warm genug anziehen wenn man draußen sitzt. Unter der Brücke durch und wieder zurück Richtung Alcatraz - hier hatte sich der Wind ziemlich beruhigt und man konnte gut draußen sitzen. Um Alcatraz rum und weiter Richtung zweiter Brücke. Danach wieder zurück zum Pier. Unterwegs haben wir immer wieder Seehunde im Wasser gesehen. Schöne Fahrt, die man nur empfehlen kann.

Superb little cruise in San Francisco Bay. Very interesting to see San Francisco from the sea and breathtaking to be able to pass under the Golden Gate Bridge and near Alcatraz. Very interesting audio guide in French included via the company's application to download before the visit then audio guide available without connection. I recommend 👍🏻
