It was proper under sail sailing. Amazing to experience the micro-climate effects of the marine layer - so much warmer and sunnier out on the bay. The crew were amazing. Very friendly and eager to pass on information about both the sail and other places of interest in the city.

Full description

Embark on a relaxing cruise along the San Francisco Bay and enhance your sightseeing experience with two complimentary drinks. Take in views of the San Francisco skyline and important landmarks, including the Golden Gate bridge.
Be welcomed by your captain and first mate and make yourself comfortable on the Privateer, a double-masted sailboat. Motor out of the dock towards the bay and watch the sails rise above you. Be served two complimentary drinks of your choice from a selection of beer, wine, soft drinks, or water.

Pass Alcatraz and Angel Island and see the Bay Bridge. Glide past the city of Sausalito before cruising parallel to the the Golden Gate Bridge for some great photo opportunities. Feel free to ask the crew any questions about the landmarks. Finally, be returned to the departure point.

Meeting point

Go to Pier 39 Dock F gate and wait until the First Mate comes and takes you to the boat. Dock F is located on the east side of Pier 39, the same side as the Aquarium of the Bay. Walk through the main entrance to Pier 39 with Hard Rock Cafe on your right. Take the first right at the fruit stand or bungee trampoline. When you get to the water, turn left and walk until you reach Dock F.
