So much fun, can’t recommend it enough. I was a little worried if it would be hard to figure out the driving, but it wasn’t hard to adjust. Great verbal gps cues, and fun facts were learned. Got to see some really great views.

Best way to the city! We were delighted to see they had a couple of electric cars available! So for $50 more, we opted for this. Though it was tandem seating, we had a blast! It had GPS and told stories as we drove. The electric car allowed us to drive over the Golden Gate Bridge as it could go as fast as 85 miles although we only did 45 mph on the bridge as 50 is speeding. We took our time and stopped by every tour spot. Didn’t need to bring car back until 6pm. Staff were to competent and friendly and offered the other electric car in case battery didn’t make it all day, but it did! We felt safe in the car. Had little storage area in the back for our stuff which locks up. Super fun! We will be back to do this again next time we visit!

Zip around in a cute, yellow, storytelling GoCar as it takes you on your own GPS-guided tour. The GoCar is easy and fun to drive and, since it's GPS-guided, it knows where you are – even if you don't. With you in the driver's seat, GoCar not only tells you where to turn, it tells stories that bring San Francisco to life. Follow the directions, or for those more adventurous, blaze your own trail. GoCar will show you the best of San Francisco from the urban parks to the golden beaches, Downtown and Chinatown. You take control of the pace and routes to create a memorable day on the streets of San Francisco. You'll see many of San Francisco's famous tourist destinations such as Pier 39, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Palace of Fine Arts. You'll be guided through some of San Francisco's most beloved neighborhoods, such as the Haight-Ashbury, the Mission, North Beach, and the Castro District. Explore at your own pace, stop for lunch along the way, and see almost all of the famous 49-mile drive past all the beaches, parks, and districts San Francisco has to offer. Important information

Know before you go

  • You must be 21 years of age or older with a major credit card and valid driver's license (international license is not necessary) to rent. GoCars do not accommodate booster seats for small children
  • On the day of rental, a USD 500.00 security deposit will be held on your credit card until the GoCar is returned. All riders must sign a standard participant agreement. Renters will have the option to purchase collision damage waiver (CDW) insurance on the day of rental
  • Pricing is per vehicle, not per person. Each vehicle seats 2 people
  • Tours sales are final. There is a USD 20.00 cancellation fee. However, departure times may be rescheduled (subject to availability). If there is inclement weather at the time of departure, you may either reschedule for another day or receive a full refund
  • There will be a link to a waiver on your voucher. Please fill it out prior to arrival
  • Security Deposit is reduced to $300 if you purchase optional insurance

We rented the electric GoCar. It was quieter, went faster and had reverse. My husband and I had a blast and saw things in San Francisco that we had never seen before. Can't wait to do this again sometime!
