Kicker Rock (León Dormido) is a cone-shaped rock of volcanic tuff in the middle of the ocean. It is approximately 148 meters (485 ft.) high, formed by two rocks that create a canal, making it an ideal spot for different aquatic activities. Interests: • Birdwatching blue-footed boobys and Nazca boobys. You can also see pelicans and frigatebirds (there are two species in the Galápagos: the Magnificent and the Great frigate bird). • Snorkeling and diving with sharks, sea turtles, stingrays, fishes, sea lions, and a variety of impressive sea life. • Photography. Beaches: Cerro Brujo - Manglesito - Puerto Grande. (The beach visited will depend on the itinerary and the permits issued by the national park). Cerro Brujo (Witch’s Hill): In the past, the early settlers of the island would use salt from the mines to curate the fish. From this practice derives bacalao, a dried and salted cod, an essential ingredient in an exquisite traditional Ecuadorian dish prepared during Easter. You will have the unique opportunity to observe two plants from the halophyte species (Salicornia fructirosa y Scaevola plumieri) that grow here due to the soil being rich in salt. This coral-sand beach is an incredible place for scenic landscape photography. You can also get a view of Kicker Rock (León Dormido) or its profile if viewed from the hilltop. If the weather conditions are favorable, you will be able to enjoy a panga ride (motorized dinghies) around the area. Manglecito Beach: You can visit the mangrove area as well as enjoy the beach. Thanks to its location, it is a beautiful place for birdwatching endemic birds such as the Galápagos duck. There are two main flora species predominant on this beach. First, is the Sesuvium edmonstonei, commonly known as Galápagos carpet weed which has a salty flavor. Secondly is the button mangrove. Locals surfers are known to visit this location due to the waves that form thanks to a reef located on the side of the beach. Puerto Grande Beach: In this area, you can find a system of dunes and diverse plant species. Birdwatching is also a great option due to the presence of different sea birds, coastal and migrating birds. This beach also serves the function of a nursery for baby sharks due to the protection provided by the mangroves. In the last few years, there has been a decrease in the frequency of visits to this location since it became a place for researchers to explore ways to preserve its ecosystem and species. Rosa Blanca: A small bay located on the northeast side of San Cristóbal. It is known for having a variety of small beaches but the main attraction is its largest beach located in the center of the small bay. This place has a large number of dunes which in addition to the crystalline waters creates a unique landscape attraction. Bahía Sardina: Is made up of two beaches. This place is known for its small white sand dunes in addition to the crystalline waters. León Dormido/Kicker Rock: Kicker Rock (León Dormido) is a cone-shaped rock of volcanic tuff in the middle of the ocean. Punta Pitt is located northeast of San Cristobal. It is comprised of a hill that has a small beach full of minerals, one of them being olivine, responsible for the olive green colored sand. Due to its geographical location, the area contains large amounts of minerals, making it a perfect feeding spot for hundreds of different pelagic species. The presence of these species in turn makes it an ideal feeding ground for the marine birds nearby, creating a balanced ecosystem. You can take part in a fishing activity. 7:00 am - meeting point at our office 7:30 am - We set sail to the first point, it depends on the itinerary of the Galapagos National Park if we start the tour on the North or South side of the island: * The first point of the visit is Kicker Rock here we will snorkel 🤿 for approx 50 min. On a good day, the species to observe are hammerhead sharks, Galapagos sharks, turtles, and manta rays. * The second point of visit is Cerro Brujo where we will do photography and landscape watching for 15 min. * As the third point we will visit Bahía Sardina🏝️ on this beach we disembark here we will be able to choose whether to snorkel 🤿 or stay on the beach, at this point, we will stay for about 1 hour. * At the fourth point we will visit Punta Pitt here we usually stop for lunch but sometimes the sea is a little rough so we will have lunch somewhere else. * As the fifth and last point we will visit White Rose Bay 🏝️ where we will make a short 5-minute walk over rocks, Upon arriving we will snorkel, and if we are lucky we will be able to observe and snorkel with white tip sharks 🦈 . At this point we will stay for about 1 hour, we will be returning to port at about 4:00 pm

Then, we will head to Cerro Brujo, where you will enjoy a brief stop to take pictures and admire the scenery. Next stop is Sardina Bay, where you can choose to snorkel or relax on the beach for an hour. We will continue to Punta Pitt, an ideal place to have lunch and enjoy the stunning natural surroundings. The last stop is Rosa Blanca, where we will take a short walk over rocks to reach a bay perfect for snorkeling. Here, you will be able to swim and, with luck, observe white tip sharks. This tour includes transportation by speedboat, hotel pick-up, bilingual naturalist tour guide, snorkeling gear, wetsuit, towels, lunch and snacks. Day 1: Santa Cruz Island, Visit Highlands. Highlands: Visit El Chato 1 or 2, Or Primicias Farm, in any of these you can see the Giant Galapagos Tortoises. Day 2: Isabela Island visit Tunnels Tunnels: This is one of the most spectacular snorkeling sites in Isabela, the water is shallow, calm, and very clear, a marine sanctuary. A series of lava flows have produced unique geological formations, a series of arches and tunnels, below and above the water, where a large number of endemic Galapagos species live. Day 3: Isabela Is. Puerto Villamil, Wetlands, Tortoise Breeding Center, and Tintoreras. Wetlands: The Wetlands consist of lagoons, swamps, and mangroves and are home to a variety of unique bird species such as common stilts, whimbrels, white-cheeked pintails, and gallinules. The Wetlands can be visited on foot via a path that winds through the swamps. Flamingo Lake: To the west of Puerto Villamil there are various salt and brackish lagoons which house an impressive variety of coastal and sea birds. Here, visitors can also find the largest concentration of flamingos in Galapagos. Arnaldo Tupiza Breeding Center: The Tortoise Breeding Center (also known as the Interpretation Center). A boardwalk connects the town to the Center, stretching across the wetlands and Prickly Pear Cacti shrub. Five sub-species of the Giant Tortoise exist on the island, yet their populations are threatened by introduced animals such as goats and cats. At the Tortoise Breeding Center, eggs are nursed in a hatchery and the giant tortoise adults are observed in supervised corrals. The Center aims to increase the population and secure the survival of these species. Tintoreras: The Tintoreras Islets, located a short distance from Puerto Villamil, are home to a great variety of wildlife. Its turquoise, crystalline waters are inhabited by white-tipped reef sharks, Galapagos penguins, marine turtles, and sea lions. One of its beaches, surrounded by mangroves is one of the few sites where marine iguanas can reproduce successfully. Day 4: Bartolomé Island or North Seymour or Floreana Island Bartolome: On this island is the famous Pinnacle, which is one of the most representative places of the archipelago. Here you can dive and snorkel with penguins, sea lions, white tip reef sharks, and other tropical fish. Seasonally, Bartolomé is the mating and nesting site of the green turtle. The bay is also an excellent place to go swimming. North Seymour: On this island, there is a large population of blue-footed boobies and swallow-tailed gulls. There are also countless land iguanas, which were introduced from Baltra Island, and which served to repopulate the island with this species. It is also possible to observe a large number of frigates and sea lions with their young. Day 5: Santa Cruz Is. Twins Craters & Transfer to Baltra airport, only driver not guide.

Kicker Rock is one of the best snorkeling sites in all of the Galapagos and is approximately 1.5 hours by boat from the port. As we sail, you will be able to spot playful dolphins and various species of birds. Upon arrival at the Sleeping Lion, you will witness the majesty of this volcanic lava rock. Your naturalist guide will immerse you in a detailed narrative about the place and its captivating creatures. The waters around the rock are not only full of marine life, but also fascinating birds. Blue-footed boobies, Nazca boobies, pelicans and frigate birds adorn the sky and the surroundings. This place is a true paradise of biodiversity, where the marine and winged kingdoms intersect. After visiting the Sleeping Lion, you will disembark at one of the beautiful beaches, either Manglesito, Puerto Grande or Cerro Brujo, depending on the itinerary. We pick up you in the lobby of the hotels (Inside the urban perimeter of Puerto Baquerizo moreno) or we meet the traveler at the dock of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, then we will take you to the boat in order to move to Leon Dormido. This amazing landmark located about an hour and a half to the north east of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, Kicker Rock / Leon Dormido is a remnant of a vertical tuff cone formation, rising almost 153 meters (500 feet) from the ocean. The erosion has given the rock its characteristic shape, which some see as a shoe, hence the name Kicker Rock. Others see it as a sleeping sea lion or Leon Dormido in Spanish. While we snorkel around Kicker Rock we can spot sea turtles, marine iguanas, rays, Galapagos sharks, tropical fish and if luck is on our side we can even see hammerhead sharks. Besides enjoying the underwater view, we can usually see blue-footed boobies, masked boobies and frigatebirds on the cliffs as well as sea lions along the shore. Lobos Island During the boat trip on Isla Lobos can observe brown pelicans, various species of shorebirds; however during the snorkel it is common the presence of juvenile sea lions, stingrays and sea turtles. After the box lunch of board of the boat, we will enjoy the beach of Playa Ochoa to practice snorkeling near the local fauna or have a rest time at this paradisiacal spot. End of our service

Frigate bird hill, a viewpoint from which you have a beautiful view over the island. Snorkel the shallow waters of Tijeretas Bay or Carola beach (your guide will take you to the best spot), where you can see sea lions, various tropical fishes, and turtles. Your small hike will finish at Carola beach. Overnight in San Cristobal. Day 02: Kicker Rock/ / (B, BL) Kicker Rock - snorkel. You will visit the famous Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido), a volcanic formation amid the ocean. There you will be able to snorkel with sharks, rays, turtles, and if you are lucky also with hammerhead sharks! In the afternoon you will be back at the port. Overnight in San Cristobal. Day 03: Santa Cruz – El Chato / (B, L) Breakfast in the hotel. At 6:30 pick you up and take you to the harbor 7:00 speedboat to Santa Cruz (approx. 2-hour ride). A local guide will receive you at the harbor. Your guide drives up to the ranch in the highlands to see giant tortoises in their native environment! Overnight in Santa Cruz. Day 04: Full day navigable tour / (B, BL) Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on the dates and/or navigable site available, pick-up from the hotel will be early in the morning (6-or 7:00 am) to take you to the small vessel at the embarkation point in Puerto Ayora for a unique experience with Galapagos wildlife and endemic vegetation. The destination can be either Santa Fe, South Plazas, North Seymour, Pinzon, or Floreana. The activities will include hiking, snorkeling, swimming, and breathtaking sightseeing. Return to the hotel in Santa Cruz where you can relax. Overnight in Santa Cruz. Day 05: Tortuga Bay – Charles Darwin / (B, L) Pick up from your hotel. You will take a small road 2,500 meters long up to the access to Tortuga Bay. Enjoy a 2-hours hike (both ways) up to this beautiful beach which is perfectly preserved, and with the presence of wild animals such as iguanas, beach crabs. Tortuga Bay is a white sand beach located on the south coast of the island of Santa Cruz. After lunch, you will visit the Charles Darwin Research Station where you will have the opportunity to learn about Galapagos conservation in action. Over 200 scientists and volunteers are involved with research and conservation efforts here. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Santa Cruz. Day 06: Transfer out to the airport in Baltra / (B) Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to the airport to board the flight to Quito or Guayaquil. Arrival and connection with the international flight.

Meet your guide at 7:30 am at Puerto Baquerizo and get ready for 2-hour navigation towards your Kicker Rick Galapagos snorkeling adventure. The day tour will have two visiting sites: The first one will be the underwater of the Kicker Rock lava formations. This is one of the most outstanding snorkeling sites in the Galapagos. On the surface, you may catch sight of some of the many birds inhabiting the towers emerging from the ocean floor. You can spot Nazca boobies, blue-footed boobies, frigatebirds, and tropicbirds. Be ready to swim alongside the most iconic Galapagos wildlife. Hammerheads, sea turtles, Galapagos sharks inhabit the area. The walls are connected below the surface through a 60ft deep channel running between them. Depending on the day, the tour will end or begin with a visit to Cerro Tijeretas. You will get ready to swim and snorkel once again! Another option is a deserted beach (either Manglesito or Puerto Grande) to observe wildlife and relax in the pristine sand. A box lunch will be served in the boat as these parts of the islands are inhabited.
