The boat trip on the canyon was nice, I felt overall disappointed due to the amount of time on the bus..perhaps due to my own lack of research beforehand but it was 2.5 hours before we reached the first lookout spot which unfortunately was badly obscured due to cloud/rain. Then we were back in the bus for another hour before we reached the second lookout which was more clear thankfully. Then it was about an hour- an hour and a half before we reached the pier to get the boat so at that stage I was pretty fed up. The tour was completely in Spanish as advertised so unfortunately I couldn't follow most of it. The boat trip was refreshing and the sights were lovely but in hindsight if I had known the itinerary I wouldn't have gone.

Absolutely beautiful. Loved seeing the canyon from up top and then going in a boat through the canyon. The lunch break in Chiapa de Corzo afterwards was a bit too long, could definitely have made it shorter. Also, the driver did not tell us where to meet him afterwards so that was a bit worrisome, but he eventually found us frantically looking for him. Also, the trip is definitely not 5 hours, it's more like 8 hours.

A great trip! A guide that could translate to English would have made this trip even better as there was a few pieces of information shared throughout the boat trip but the sights were stunning and well worth it regardless. Trip also took closer to 8.5 hours.
