Full description

We will embark on our journey starting from Route No. 40, where we will cross the bridge over the Limay River, the natural boundary between the provinces of Río Negro and Neuquén.
Crossing the Huemul peninsula and Puerto Manzano, we head towards Villa La Angostura before proceeding along the Seven Lakes Route: Nahuel Huapi, majestic in its magnitude, is one of the most important glacial origin lakes, covering an area of 529 km.

Lake Villarino, framed by a forest of coihues and mountain ranges, is visible from the high road and connects with Lake Falkner. Between two mountains by the roadside, we'll see Lake Machonico with calm waters of a dark blue color.

Arriving in San Martín de los Andes, you'll observe Lake Lacar.

We will return by the same route to reach the hotels in Bariloche.

We enjoyed this tour. The route covered display many different vistas and geographical structures. Lovely mountains, lakes and forests as well as dry, barren landscapes. Each lake had unique features. The compulsory stop at Angostura great. Such a pretty town and great coffee to boot. Lunch at San Martin de Los Andes was in a nice recommended restaurant. We hired a taxi which took us to the magnificient Mirador Arrayanes with its view down the Lago Lacar. The long journey back to Bariloche was somewhat 'down' time so a chance to nod off after a busy day. Our guide, Isadora, was full of knowledge, patience and elegance. We were well looked after and she explained everything twice with equal detail given in both Spanish and English.
