Full description
Turn downtown San Antonio into your own personal giant game board. Urban Adventure Quest created an interactive Amazing Race-style scavenger hunt that lets you do just that. On this 2.5-hour San Antonio adventure, you’ll see the city’s sights as you’re guided by your smartphone. Race to be the first to finish the game, or take as much time as you need, solving clues, completing challenges, and learning about local history along the way. The adventure begins deep in the heart of Texas, where there’s a history of courage and sacrifice for freedom. Your Quest starts in the center of San Antonio and takes you back in time to explore the grounds of the Alamo. You’ll then be guided down to the River Walk and through the streets to enjoy the sights and sounds of the modern city. So gather up your troops and defend your right to have fun! Play the game, see the sights, and experience San Antonio in a whole new way. This tour is offered at a fixed group price rather than a per-person, so it’s the perfect city adventure for groups who want to get the best value for money. Know before you go

  • A team may have as many people as you like. However, the Quest typically runs best with no more than 6 people on each team. Large groups can break up into many teams and compete for the best point score and time. Each team needs to purchase a Quest with a unique email address and password.
  • You may purchase your Quest days, weeks, or months before your adventure.
  • A step-by-step process on how you can redeem your scavenger hunt code can be found on your confirmation voucher after purchase.
  • We suggest bringing water, snacks, money, a city map, calculator, pencil and paper and, of course, a fully charged smartphone.

The experience itself was interesting and fun. The site used for directing the quest was embarrassingly out of date. Note that the Get Your Guide app is used only for selling access, not for directing the tour. I'd consider using the GYG app in the future, but only if it connects to an actual modern app.

We had the best time! My friend & I found this scavenger hunt to be fun, interesting, challenging. I had been to San Antonio many times previous, but saw this fun city in a whole new way & learned many new things. We will do scavenger hunts in other cities with this app whenever they’re available!

Worth it!

The scavenger was definitely entertaining. As San Antonio natives, my friend and I decided to do it just to see how quickly we could finish it. The questions were challenging to find and fun! The only small issue we had was a question that involved plaques. They were small plaques near or behind fences. We spent a lot of time analyzing the big plaques... Once we found the correct plaques, we were on a roll again. It definitely lets you see a lot of downtown. Would recommend this to anyone!
