Samos: Full-Day Guided Island Bus Tour

Start the tour by stepping back in time to the Ancient Greek era with a visit to the Temple of Hera. Admire this marvelous feat of construction which dates back to ancient time. Then, head north for a guided tour of the 15th-century Monastery of Megali Panagia, an excellent example of Byzantine Greek architecture. Enjoy a short walk through the traditional mountain village of Pyrgos which is famous for its honey and ceramics for a short walk. After visiting Pyrgos, make an optional stop in the area of Koutsi – an ideal place to take panoramic photos. After this, visit a traditional winery for a chance to taste some of the famous Samian wines. Continue the tour through the varied green landscape until you reach the 2nd large town on the island called Karlovassi.
