I bought the trip at last minutes because I was so lazy to do any research when I arrived to Salzburg. The trip to Hellbrunn Palace was worth every penny. And I was very surprised at how young and good the boat crews are when witnessing them driving the boat against the rough current through the bridges.

The boat ride itself is kind of lacking, and not as much as a tour as I thought as more of a short ride to where the bus brings you to the palace. The palace itself is nice and the trick fountains are a great, unique, adventure for an afternoon. The double-decker bus driver was great though! Very friendly and outgoing, talked with us and pointed out interesting things along the way and around the site. He also gave us suggestions of places to go in town. His suggestion of the St. Augustiner beer garden was, in our opinion, the best part of Salzburg. Well suggested and glad to talk to him.

Perfect way to spend an afternoon. The tour guide was knowledgeable, spoke perfect English. We decided not to take the double decker bus back because the place was too beautiful to leave so soon. We used bus 25 to get back to town which took approx. 25 min and 5.22 Euros for two adults.
