Full description

Explore the heart of the city of Salzburg. Starting at Palace Mirabell, you will explore the sights here. The palace was built under the reign of the famous baroque Prince Archbishop Wolf Dietrich von Reitenau for his mistress Salome Alt and their 15 children. At the Makartplatz, next to the Palace Mirabell, you will see the Mozart Residence. You will explore the New Town and this side of the river before crossing the bridge “Makartsteg” to arrive at the Old Town of Salzburg. While here we will get to Salzburg’s most famous street, the Getreidegasse, which is especially renowned for its wrought-iron trade signs and Mozart’s Birthplace.

Stroll through Salzburg’s Old Town to admire its historic buildings, such as the medieval apartments and churches that were built from the Middle Ages to the baroque time, and conclude the tour with a panoramic view from Mönchsberg Hill with a free guide (optional).

We had a wonderful city tour on a great autumn day with the best weather. Added to the great weather was that we basically had a private tour as my wife and I were the only guests on this very enjoyable tour. Due to the places and sights visited, it is easy to explore the sights more intensively on the following days.

Thank you very much Junko for the fantastic tour of Salzburg with you. A super professional, cheerful and affectionate guide who will make you fall in love with the city. We learned about Salzburg, its history, the Austrian lifestyle and also the life of Mozart and "Smiles and Tears". In addition, Junko has a wonderful voice and is not shy about singing the OST of the movie and other famous melodies. We recommend this visit because my mother and I had the privilege of living together, with no minimum number of reservations to do the activity. A 10! The tour was really good overall. The tour guide was able to share a lot and answered questions well. It was great that there were only four of us, so the relatively high price is perfectly fine. It was unfavorable to combine the English with the German tour. This resulted in lengths and less exchange than probably in a monolingual tour. Otherwise everything tip top!
