    Embark on a half-day scenic tour through the Salzkammergut to Hallstatt. See the town of Hallstatt on a guided tour and explore at your own pace after. Admire the Mullbach waterfall and the Bone House.

    Start the trip from Salzburg with a drive through the famous Salzkammergut en route to Hallstatt, known as the Pearl of the Salzkammergut. The route will take you through a number of charming villages, as you listen to an introduction to Hallstatt and the Salzkammergut. If you wish to do the Hallstatt Skywalk, please make your own arrangements and also considering an hour timewise from your 2.5 hours stay in Hallstatt.   On arrival in Hallstatt, enjoy 2.5 hours of free time to take in the sights. Take a leisurely walk along the lake and marvel at how the houses above you seem to cling onto the mountainside. Pass by the Mullbach waterfall and visit the local museum. A must-see attraction is the Bone House behind the Catholic church, which will give you an interesting view into local family life (admission not included). You’ll then begin the return journey via Abtenau and Russbach to Gosau, where you’ll see the Gosau Lake and admire the views of the Dachtsein mountains.

    • In Hallstatt you will have some time on your own (2.5 hours)
    • Please note that there will be NO time visiting the salt mine in Hallstatt, as the bus will leave earlier
    • If you wish to do the Skywalk, please make your own arrangements and allow 1 hour for this activity
    •  The Bone House has seasonal opening hours
    • For disabled guests/ wheelchair users: except for the Salt Mines Tour and the Eagle's Nest Tour, all tours are wheelchair accessible. Your wheelchair must be foldable, and you will need to be able to get in and out of the coach or minivan by yourself (1-3 steps)

    A very lovely and well organised experienced travelling to Hallstatt. it is a beautiful small town by the lake and definitely worth visiting. We were told the history of Salzburg and Hallstatt on our way there and there was plenty of time to explore and take pictures in Hallstatt. The skywalk was absolutely gorgeous and it was great going in a small group of 8. Great tour guide to take us through the experience

    It was a great experience. I thought it would just be a ride back and forth to Hallstatt but Leopold (the guide) gave a huge history lesson about Salzburg and Hallstatt. He even does a different route when we are coming back to see different scenarios. Hallstatt is one of the most beautiful places I have been in my life. Don`t miss the opportunity to go.

    Beautiful little town, would opt for a longer tour (FULL DAY) if available. Total Duration of the tour was 5.5hrs, journey alone is 1.5hr (one way), that leaves 2.5hrs for sightseeing. As there was long queue to the Skywalk, we had to give this a miss. Went on Christmas day, many shops are closed but some restaurants are still open. The Bone House was closed, a pity. Overall still a very scenic and beautiful little town. Nice!
