It was a great experience. I thought it would just be a ride back and forth to Hallstatt but Leopold (the guide) gave a huge history lesson about Salzburg and Hallstatt. He even does a different route when we are coming back to see different scenarios. Hallstatt is one of the most beautiful places I have been in my life. Don`t miss the opportunity to go.

Fantastic tour and such a lovely place to visit. The ONLY downside I would say is that there is not enough time to see the salt mines. So if this is something of interest for you it’s worth booking perhaps a full day tour. However the town of Hallstatt is charming and very sweet to visit. Make sure you have cash.

Alenka has been an exceptional guide, she was explaining to us the history and origin of Hallstat and the places we were passing through, through the lake area. They leave you 2 and a half hours to see the town, more than enough. Being January, the funicular that goes up to the viewpoint was closed, but it may be a short time when it is open to be able to see everything. The return trip we did by another beautiful path.
